SPSS is a useful business application program for analyzing statistical data.
To install the latest version of this program, your Windows computer must have a minimum specification using an Intel or AMD processor with a speed of 1 GHz, 1 GB of memory, 1024x768 pixel monitor resolution, and a hard drive with a minimum capacity of 800 MB.
The SPSS program is a quantitative statistical application developed at Stanford University and the University of Chicago in 1968. The SPSS program was first developed by a social science professor named Norman Nie and a colleague named C. Hadlai Hull. At that time the name SPSS stands for Statistical Package for the Social Science. However, today SPSS applications have been used extensively in various disciplines, not just limited to social science alone.
SPSS can read various data types or input data directly into SPSS Data Editor. However the structure of the raw data file, the data in the SPSS Data Editor should be formed in the form of rows (cases) and columns (variables). Case contains information for one unit of analysis, while the variable is information collected from each case. The analysis results appear in SPSS Output Navigator. Most Base System procedures produce pivot tables, where we can improve the display of the output provided by SPSS.
